Date: Thu, April 10, 2014 From: Maria Luisa Montano These are our results of the 2014 Messier Marathon of the Guadalajara Astronomy Society, AC. Date: march 29 to 30, 2014. Location: "La Loma" valley, near to the town Atemajac of Brizuela Jalisco, Mexico. Weather conditions: early in the evening, the west sky was cloudy and it was not possible to see the first 7 messier objects (M31, M32, M110, M33, M77, M76, M74), thru the night the conditions got much better. Roberto Navarro was able to obtain the largest register of 103 objects with an 8" dobsonian. Maria Luisa Montano registered 98 objects with 8" dowsonian f/5,9. Jorge Moreno registered 58 with his 5" reflector. Arturo Celada registered 45 objetcs with his hand-made 6" dowsonian. Carlos Tafoya and Sandy team located 88 objects with an 8" reflector.
