I went to the All Arizona Messier Marathon this year and it turned out to be a nice event...better than last year when it got rained out. This was my first marathon. I was using my 10" LX-50 and I managed to bag 105 objects. I missed M74 early in the evening after spending about 1/2 hour looking for it. Then at the end of the evening, the moon ruined my chances at M2, M72, M73, and M30. It was a lot of fun but TIRING! Virgo and Coma Bernices were painful. After I finished those, it wasn't too bad. Also, I'd like to report my fiance Kasia Zabinski's results. She was using a Mead 4.5" reflector and she managed to find 31 objects before succumbing to the cold (yes, cold in the desert). The web page is great! It's fantastic for people to be able to share their achievements with others! Bobby Martin
