We used our two 6-inch telescopes and 10X50, 8X40, 7X35 binoculars. That was our first attempt of the Messier Marathon and we saw 94 objects out off 110. This figure was bigger than we hopped ! We missed the first section because of the suburbs of the Bhuj city's lights. We could see only M31, M103 and M33 through binoculars. The second section was so easy we didnt miss any object. The third section was also successfull, but very hard to find fiant galaxies. We completed Leo and The Great Bear, But we missed one in Virgo-Coma cluster. The fourth section was also easy.. But we missed the last section completely because of the city's lights shining at north-east direction. We saw many objects in the Marathon first time.We hope we shall find all objects next time ! On 1st April we will see the remaining object. The credit goes to only one young man that is Mr.Rahul Zota who has done this tast very succsessfull. Though it was our first marathon we hope we done work satisfactory. The participants were Rahul Zota, Prashany Shah, Nishant Gor, Gunjan Doshi, Parth Chudasama, Ashwin Vagela, Harish Vaghela and me Narendra Gor. Narendra Gor Kutch Astronomy Club
