Date: Mar 30, 2006 6:57 PM From: Paul Gray Subject: Messier marthon report The Moncton Centre.s William Brydone Jack Unit held a marathon on the Dorn Ridge, about 25 miles northwest of Fredericton, NewBrunswick, Canada on March 27/28. Long 66d 56. Latitude 46d 8. Donald Kelly attempted his first marathon only 3 weeks after getting his first telescope! With his new 10inch dob he observed 103 objects missing M79, 83, 6, 73, 75, 55 and 30. Ted Dunphy attempted his second marathon and observed 108 with his 10inch dob. Ted only missed M75 and M30. Paul Gray attempting his 5th marathon observed 109 with his 12.5 inch dob missing only M30. A full report will be coming soon. Paul Gray
