Gorgeous photograph of the Andromeda Galaxy, M31 (NGC 224), by amateur astronomer Jason Ware, who took it with a 6-inch Meade refractor (152 ED APO), on Kodak 6x4.5cm (medium format) negative film. In addition to a lot of detail in the great galaxy such as spiral arms, dust lanes, and star clouds, the image shows the two bright elliptical satellite galaxies of Andromeda, M32 (NGC 221) and M110 (NGC 205).
